shampoo & conditioner bar user guide.
Using nope. shampoo & conditioner bars is the same process as traditional bottled products - just without the plastic. Our bars have a circular design to increase their surface area contact with your hair and make the switch to bars a breeze.
step 1.
shampoo.
Wet your hair generously
Move the bar in a circular motion on your scalp to create a foamy lather
Give your head a quick massage
Rinse, letting the shampoo run through the middle and ends of your hair
Repeat*
*You should always shampoo your hair twice. The first time will cleanse the hair of oil and product build up, so when you shampoo for the second time, it will ensure there is nothing left over so your hair is squeaky clean.
step 2.
conditioner.
Wet the bar with warm to hot water (the hotter the better)
Slide the bar down your hair from the middle to the ends in a brush like motion
With conditioner coated hair, use your fingers or a wide toothed comb to detangle
Leave conditioner in for a few minutes while you wash, shave or sing
Rinse fully
New to conditioner bars and want to learn how to get the most out of them? Here our some tips:
Tip 1: Run the bar under hot water before using it to loosen the hardened natural oils and butter which you want to come off the bar onto your hair, the bar should begin to feel a little slippery.
Tip 2: Use both hands so there is pressure on both the bar and the hair - hold some hair in the palm of one hand, press the conditioner bar onto it with the other hand and then run both hands down the hair together keeping the pressure on which allows the conditioner to coat the hair and leave some larger traces of the bar which helps when it comes to detangling afterwards.
Tip 3: Before you put the bar down, rub it in your hands to coat them in extra conditioner before working this through the ends of your hair whilst you detangle.
step 3.
look good and feel good.
Hair can be towel dried, blow dried or dried naturally - whatever works for you and leaves you feeling good.
step 4.
storage.
As nope. bars are activated by water, keep them somewhere dry when you’re not using them. The hemu wood rack in our home sets is perfect to keep your bars lasting as long as 60-80 washes!
